• Perl Modules

  I have written a few Perl Modules that might prove to be of use to someone - all of which are available from CPAN. Linux::Cpuinfo Allows access to the kernel CPU information on Linux in an Object Oriented manner. Linux::Fuser Provides similar function to the command 'fuser' found on most unix systems - showing which processes have a particular file open. Linux::Svgalib Provides an interface for Perl programs to be able to use the svgalib graphic routines. Net::SNMP::Interfaces Provides a simplified interface to the SNMP ifEntry table for network devices such as a router. Sys::Lastlog Allows access to the 'lastlog' data found on most Unix like systems. Sys::Utmp Provides an Object Oriented Interface to the getutent function on Unix-like systems - allowing the writing of programs like 'who' in Perl.

  I am also currently maintaining some modules that were originally written by other people.

  Term::Cap This module, found in the core Perl distribution as well, provides an interface to the terminal capability database found on most Unix-like systems. Term::Screen Provide a simplified interface for screen positioning and control using Term::Cap

  I have given talks on Perl Subjects - the slides can be found here. YAPC::Europe 2005 - Protecting your Web Applications with the DNS An outline of a technique that can be used to protect web sites from "Comment Spam"

• Miscellaneous Articles and Documentation

  A Brief Introduction to HTML::Parser HTML::Parser is a very useful module that allows you to do things with HTML that would be difficult to do otherwise. This short introduction shows just enough to be getting start with.

• HTML Hacks

  These are just a few things I have hacked together in a moment of weakness to make life easier.  They will probably improve and probably get some documentation later. Dir2HTML Simply makes an HTML file containing links to all the files in a directory tree. HTBeauty A Rudimentary HTML Beautifier.  Currently in a very early stage.

• XML
